May Day Park



The May Day Park is one of the important parks of Chennai city in South India. This park is located in Chintadripet locality in Chennai.

The May Day Park which is spread around 15 acres is divided into two regions - one is used as a proper park and another region is used as a play ground. The park was named as 'Napier Park' in those days. As the may day processions used to happen in this park every year, the park got the name 'May Day' park. Even today, a lot of political parties and labour unions held their meetings and processions in this park.
