Ambasamudram is a picturesque town located on the banks of the beautiful Tamraparni river and on the foothills of the Western Ghats. The nearest city of Ambasamudram is Tirunelveli. Thalai Anai:

Thalai Anai is a little known dam in Papanasam. If you travel towards Papanasam, it is the first dam located. It is located very near to the popular Papanasar temple in this temple. This is very small dam. People of this town and the nearby villages use this place to take bath.

Lower Dam:

The two dams - Upper Dam and Lower Dam - are together called as Papanasam Dams. The lower dam is located in the backdrop of scenic hills. It is located near Agastiar waterfalls.

Upper Dam:

The Upper Dam also called as Karaiyar dam is located much above the lower dam. It is the biggest reservoir in Papanasam region. It is located near Chori Muthu Ayyanar temple. The dam as well as the route connecting the dam provide treat to our eyes.

Servalar Dam:

Servalar Dam is a small reservoir. It is also located near Chori Muthu Ayyanar temple. It is located well within Mundanthurai forest.
