I myself have called Courtallam as the city of waterfalls in my blog. After visiting Kodaikanal, I realized that there are more number of waterfalls in Kodaikanal than Courtallam or probably any other town in India. Let us explore about an important waterfalls in Kodaikanal, Silver Cascade Waterfalls.

For those who need an introduction about Kodaikanal...Kodaikanal is one of the most popular summer destinations of India. Thousands and thousands of travelers visit this popular hillstation named as 'Princess of hillstations'. It is located near Dindigul in Tamil Nadu state of India. After Ooty, it is the most visited hill resorts in Tamil Nadu state. 

Silver Cascade Waterfalls would be the first popular tourist destination that you would cross when you travel to Kodaikanal. It is situated at the outskirts of the town. The surplus water of Kodaikanal lake flows down in the form of this waterfalls. During the monsoon time, the view would be breathtaking. The 180 feet tall waterfalls is an ideal place for nature lovers.

Putlur Angala Parameswari Temple - Chennai

Angala Parameswari Temple in Putlur, near  Chennai  city of South India, is a unique temple. The Goddess is in the form of a pregnant woman in this temple. The icon of Angala Parameswari is believed to be self-manifested, called swayambhu.  As per the legend, a village head tortured a poor for borrowed money. The poor was forced to plough an infertile land. While ploughing the ground full of rocks, the villager noticed that blood was oozing out from a particular place. There, he discovered the image of the Goddess. Mount Road or Anna Salai is one of the most happening places in  Chennai . There are two famous Islamic shrines on Mount Road – one is  Thousands Light mosque .
